What is my IP?
And what else leaks.

Run the checks below. Everything happens in your browser - we don't store the results, and there's nothing to sign up for.

IPv6 leak test. While you are on Cypher VPN, the right answer is “no IPv6” or an IPv6 address of our server - never your own. This test is the one exception to “nothing leaves this page”: your browser asks ipify, a free public IP service, for your address (api6.ipify.org, api64.ipify.org), so ipify sees that address. It runs only when you press the button.

What these checks mean

What does my IP address reveal?

Your IP is handed to every server you contact. It reveals your rough location and your internet provider - and your provider can tie it to your name. A VPN replaces it with the address of the server you connect through.

What is a WebRTC leak?

Browsers use WebRTC for calls, and it can ask your operating system for your local and public addresses directly - going around the VPN tunnel. It's the most common way a "connected" VPN still exposes you.

Can my timezone and language give away my location?

If your IP says Amsterdam but your clock says Europe/Kyiv and your browser asks for Ukrainian, the mismatch is a fingerprint. It won't appear in most VPN tests, and it identifies you across sites.

What is an IPv6 leak?

Many networks now give devices an IPv6 address next to the IPv4 one. If a VPN carries only IPv4 and the app does not capture IPv6, sites that support IPv6 see your real address while the VPN says “connected”. With Cypher VPN, the AmneziaWG profile routes IPv6 into the tunnel too, and VLESS apps close it in TUN mode. See the IPv6 setup steps.

What is a DNS leak?

DNS turns names into addresses. If those lookups go to your provider's resolver instead of through the tunnel, they see every domain you visit even while the traffic itself is encrypted. Our servers resolve DNS themselves - see the no-logs policy.
